Yaroslavl meeting to discuss Russia’s contribution to global security



Foreign politicians and businessmen are meeting in Yaroslavl, in the centre of the European Russia, for an international conference to discuss Russia’s contribution to shaping global security. This came in a statement in the run-up to the forum by the Russian presidential assistant Sergei Prikhodko. Over 500 politicians, economists and researchers from 18 countries, including French and Spanish Prime Ministers Francois Fillon and Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapateroare are due to attend the conference titled Modern State and Global Security. Central to the forum will prove an address by the Russian President Dmitry Medvedev on the creation of new Euro-Atlantic security architecture and ways to settle the world economic crisis. Today the Russian leader celebrates his birthday. He has turned 44.
